If the world hadn't changed, today I would be in Vancouver having my first Canadian solo show opening at Centre A. I was so looking forward to visiting Canada for the first time and meeting the curator of my show Henry Lu in person. He even planned a mouthwatering welcome lunch for us at a very nice Chinese restaurant.
There's no alternative reality for us now. Luckily, Henry and his team at Centre A finished installing the show right before Canada shuts down. And they made a beautiful online website for this show. My artist talk will be moved online. This is the new normal now for the art world and other industries.
So here is my first virtual exhibition: EXPERIMENTAL RELATIONSHIP (FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, OR MAYBE MINE, TOO), curated by Henry Lu. This exhibition is part of the 2020 Capture Photography Festival Selected Exhibition Program and supported by a Tricera Print Grant. My heartfelt gratitude goes to Henry, Hana and other Centre A team, Capture Photo Festival, and Tricera Print!
